Poker Calculator Report: Hold em Pirate and Hold em Hawk Barred by Poker Stars
Since the Party Poker collapse last fall, Poker Stars has emerged as the undeniable head in pure numbers of online poker players. They have the largest tournaments, the most active tables, the largest cash games, and the quickest filling sit and go tournaments on-line. With that comes strength – the power to pick your associates, web marketers, and nearer to our point; acceptable software.
Long have I been recommending Hold em Hawk and Hold em Pirate (they are really the same) poker calculators as easy to use and visibly pleasing poker calculators. Recently though, these products have pressed the limits of acceptable use, a minimum of inside the view of Poker Stars, and therefore have been banned from use on that site. This is depressing news, as a decent product, not unlike some of the suitable software allowed by Stars, is now virtually grounded because the largest poker website on the planet thinks it’s too directly connected to an Operative Poker Calculator.
An Operative Poker Calculator is like a secret agent working for you, collecting and digging through player info that you may use on them at a later date. The thing is, you do not need to be at the table for this to happen. The computer software (database) is working all of the time for you. For most poker sites, which is over the line of fairness, just as in real life as well.
Except Hold em Pirate and Hold em Hawk are in fact Empirical Poker Calculators, just the exact same as Hold em Indicator is. These sorts of poker calculators only accumulate info on your competitors when you are at the table, just like you had been wagering in a live scenario.
So why the Poker Stars Smack? Here is an actual alert I was sent from Poker Stars whilst running Holdem Pirate:
Upon an evaluation of your account, we find that you’re running an external software program knownas Poker Sherlock, or its associated software, Poker Edge, PokerBotPro, Holdem Hawk and Hold em Pirate……PokerStars shall be entitled to take such action as it sees fit, including instantly preventing entry to the Games to such User, closing such User’s account with PokerStars and appropriating all funds held within the relevant Poker Stars "actual cash account".
Hey, did you observe the "seizing all money" line? That’s what you can do when you are this big!
The "related applications" is the origin of the difficulty. The firm that created Hawk and Pirate also generate Poker Edge and PokerBotPro, which are data miners. Actually, I think that Stars thinks Hawk and Pirate actually mine data for these associated programs, while appearing like an Empirical Poker Calculator on the surface.
So therein sits the core of the difficulty. When you happen to play on Stars and have Hawk or Pirate, you’re out of luck, as I have attempted to reverse this judgment. I received a polite response from the staff members at Poker Stars, but actually, it is not likely to change. The excellent news though is that Hold em Indicator has been added to Poker Stars acceptable software program checklist, and it is the only empirical calculator to be accepted by them.
