NL Hold’em Poker- Who is Phil Ivey?
Phil Ivey has been referred to as the best poker competitor on the globe by most of the top-ranked pros. Phil Ivey was born in Riverside, CA and relocated to New Jersey before reaching turning one. His grandpa introduced him to penny-ante Five-Card Stud poker. From then on on, Phil was addicted to poker and wished to discover anything he could about poker. Phil routinely would tell his elders that he wanted to be a professional poker player. He didn’t let the detrimental comments from other people kill his goal of being one of the best poker players on the planet.
He started competing intently after acquiring a false ID by the name of Jerome. He practiced his skills at the casinos in Atlantic City. The initial few years for him were a teaching experience and winning was not a regular outcome at the time. He made his mark at the 2000 World Series of Poker where he made two final tables and came away with his first WSOP bracelet, in a two dollar, five hundred Pot-Limit Omaha game. At the final table he destroyed quite a few of the better known professionals including "Amarillo Slim" Preston, David "Devilfish" Ulliot, and Phil Hellmuth, Jr.
Phil made a decision to take his game to the successive level and headed out west to Sin City. Phil continues to participate in in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio with the greatest players in the world. Ivey credits his success to discipline and a continuing passion for poker. He says that he’s picking up skills every day and is incredibly abashed about his accomplishments. He knows he makes mistakes in each session of poker and always strives to get better.
Despite the fact that Ivey has come first in some big tournaments, he prefers destroying money games on a normal basis.
